Changing your home page

The first webpage which displays when you connect to the internet, is called your home page. It's easy to change your home page to be anything you like. For example if younger children are using the internet on your computer, you can make your home page into a child friendly website like Yahooligans. To do this, you need to go to the top of the browser where you will see a menu bar with 6 menu options. Click on the option called Tools, a pull down menu will appear.

Move your cursor down the menu and click on internet options. This will bring up a window, where you can change which page you use as your home page by writing in the address.

Try changing your home page to Yahooligans by typing in the address http://yahooligans.yahoo.com/. When you have written the new address just click on the OK button at the bottom of the floating window to save your choice.

Now click on the Home Page icon on your toolbar at the top of the browser, this will update the browser with your new home page.
