If you want to remember your favourite websites, rather than always typing the address into the browser, you can ask the browser to store the address as a bookmark. To do this firstly type in the address of your favourite website into the address box. Then press the Go button. When your website is displaying in the browser, go to the top of the browser where you will see a menu bar with 6 menu options.
Left clicking on each of these reveals a pull down menu. Click on the option called Favourites. From the pull down list, choose ‘add to favourites’. When you click on this option you will be presented with a window where you can simply click OK, to add this website to your favourites list. To view your favourite list, simply click on the ‘favourites’ icon in the tool bar at the top of the browser window. This will list all of your bookmarks.
Next time you go into the favourites menu you will see the new website in it, and you can select it to go straight to the website, without typing in the address. You might want to bookmark websites that you think are suitable for your children, and show them how to use the favourites menu.
